ACT

Usually you can have strength, light weight or a good price. In ACT, you can have all three.

ACT boards have a super strong 2 x 4oz + Bamboo reinforcement on the deck and a 6oz + 4oz lay-up on the bottom, but they weigh around the same as a light glassed PU board.

Most importantly; they respond better. The feel of these boards is like no other surfboard - they are incredibly responsive. The unhindered flex and zero dead weight means all of the energy that you put through your feet is delivered into the turn with none of the ‘deadening’ effect from the resin.

TEC - TORQ EPOXY COMPOSITE

Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in our state-of-the-art epoxy layup. These boards have the best balance of Lightweight versus Durability. Using our own unique lamination process, we are able to use a very strong fiberglass lay-up of 6oz and 4oz combined in 3 layered deck and 2 layered base (with a 4 layered rail lap) with a high density EPS foam, but still achieve a board weight that matches a lightweight fiberglass lay-up.

The result is light but very strong board, with good flex characteristics and as with all torq's, excellent value for money.

The TEC shortboards have 2 full layers of fiber over the deck and bottom. On the deck we use an extra 6oz deck patch with gives triple layer ding resistance, but doesn't resist the flex along the rail. The addition of a carbon filament stringer and UD carbon twin strips on the base makes these super springy and responsive.

TET - TORQ EPOXY TECHNOLOGY

Torq Epoxy Technology or TET, represents a revolution in Epoxy surfboard technology. Built using the latest in EPS/Epoxy materials; the Torq Epoxy Technology combines a lightweight EPS core with Biaxial fiberglass cloth, Epoxy resin and our unique Shield Skin.

The high tech torq composite is constructed in the most advanced molds on the planet – precision CNC cut from a single aluminium block – creating the most perfect reproduction every time.

TET-CS - CARBON STRIP

The torq TET-CS, or Carbon Strip is the next level in our Revolutionary Epoxy Technology, using the same advanced TET process with a performance oriented lay-up. The Carbon strip allows us to reduce the lamination thickness but keeps the strength and stiffness, so the boards are lighter, but still super strong.

All TET-CS now feature an additional wood layer sandwich between the two deck biaxial layers. This wood composite is incredibly ding resistant but without adding stiffness usually associated with strength.

TORQ X-LITE TECHNOLOGY

X-Lite is a torq Epoxy technology developed specifically for performance boards. This is lighter, stronger and more Eco than a traditional PU/Polyester board, now with a 50% thinner Shield Skin for weight reduction. This innovative technology is used exclusively on the X-Lite Channel Islands models; the best selling Pod Mod and all new Chancho.

X-Lite technology now features an additional wood layer sandwich between the two deck biaxial layers. This wood composite is incredibly ding resistant but without adding stiffness usually associated with strength.

SOFT DECK EVA

Built using the latest in EPS/Epoxy materials; the torq soft technology combines a lightweight EPS core with Biaxial fiberglass cloth, Epoxy resin, the EVA Soft Deck takes the Soft Deck to the next level with a textured EVA - a textured, more durable foam that doesn't need wax.
